Aggregate Testing

Aggregate testing is performed to evaluate the properties of aggregates for asphalt and concrete mixes.

Various testing methods are utilized to analyze characteristics including strength and angularity. Alterations in gradation, maximum size, unit weight and moisture can all affect the properties of concrete and asphalt. The results are cross-referenced with the mix-design and project specifications to determine if the quality is suitable for performance expectations. AEIS’ quality technicians are certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and have the equipment and resources necessary to perform testing in-house at our Construction Materials Laboratory.
