Tracking deficient work is at the heart of any testing, inspection, and certification process. Instead of issuing “NCR Reports”, our reports have a built-in Deficiency database. All deficiencies and the ones that are resolved from previous visits, are recorded on each day’s report. The master Deficiency Log is updated daily at midnight and uploaded to the client’s project folder on our ftp server.
On projects where the design team is able to engage in real time, we have developed a Deficiency Management System” app for iPads. Here the design team is able to review the deficiency as soon as it is reported, even before the draft report is submitted. Project teams use this feature to resolve deficiencies before the end of the shift, before the crew moves to another location.
