Lost or Stolen Cheques
In the event of lost or stolen American Express® Gift Cheques, please note compliance with the recipient agreement is required. Please call 1-800-221-7282 to notify American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. ("Amexco") of the loss and receive instructions as how to proceed. Prompt notification is required.
The following information is required when you report the loss:
- Detailed description of loss or theft
- Serial number of Cheque
- Name and address of purchaser of Cheque
- Approximate date of Cheque purchase
- Proof of identity or additional information, if requested
Amexco reserves the right to investigate the loss or theft and to verify compliance with the recipient agreement and shall not be responsible for any delays resulting from such an investigation. Each case is reviewed on individual circumstance. All decisions made by Amexco are final.
